CALIFORNIA AMATEUR QUALIFYING & CHAMPIONSHIP INFORMATION
The following information is subject to change due to the ongoing concerns with the COVID-19 pandemic. Updated information will be provided leading up to each event.
Qualifying is available statewide for NCGA and SCGA Players. Players may only attempt to qualify once.
109th CALIFORNIA AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIP
Torrey Pines Golf Course (North & South), La Jolla
July 27 – August 1, 2020
FORMAT:
156 players will play two rounds. (One round on the South Course, one round on the North Course)
Monday, July 27th: Round 1 (18 holes stroke play)
Tuesday, July 28th: Round 2 (18 holes stroke play).
Following the second round, the field will be cut to the low 32 players for match play to be played on the South Course.
Wednesday, July 29th: Round of 32 (match play)
Thursday, July 30th: Round of 16 (match play)
Friday, July 31st: Quarterfinals and Semifinals (match play)
Saturday, August 1st: Championship Match (36-hole match play final)
All non-exempt players will participate in an 18-hole, stroke-play qualifying round. 156 players, including exempts, will advance to the championship.
Note: Golf Carts will not be permitted at the qualifiers or championship proper. The NCGA/SCGA will use United States Golf Association guidelines in determining cart exemptions for ADA-approved disabilities at the championship proper.

ELIGIBILITY: This championship is open to amateur golfers who are members of a current NCGA or SCGA member club with a handicap index of 4.4 or less at the time of registration.

ENTRY DEADLINE: Sunday, June 14, 2020
PLAYER INFORMATION & PAIRINGS: Complete tournament details, including information about practice rounds, pairings, starting times, and yardages played, will be emailed and posted on scga.org/calam after entries close.
ENTRY FEE: $150
REFUND POLICY: Requests for refunds prior to the entry closing date will be honored less a $10 administrative fee. Requests received after the entry closing date and 48 hours prior to the event will be honored less 50% of the entry fee. No refunds will be honored within 48 hours of the event.
EXEMPTIONS: All exempt players must still meet eligibility requirements and register online for the championship prior to the entry closing date. The current list of exemptions can be found online by clicking here.
